The Awa Collection is a unique and stylish taonga that reflects the braided rivers running throughout the whenua (land). When pepeha is recited it acknowledges significant markers of identity including, the awa (river) and maunga (mountains) of a region.
Regardless of how much time passes, or your proximity to the place, it cannot change your connection to these markers of identity.
